Magbeads for His-tag protein purification is a novel magnetic microsphere product designed to efficiently and quickly purify recombinant His-tag proteins. It works on the same principle as traditional nickel column affinity chromatography, where Ni2+ is fixed on the surface of magnetic beads to bind with the His tag on recombinant proteins to achieve purification of target proteins. The outstanding feature of this product is that it allows for high-purity target protein purification in one simple magnetic separation step directly from biological samples, whether done manually or through automated instruments. The entire process takes a short period of 60 minutes, simplifying the purification process, increasing efficiency, and making it an excellent solution for purifying His-tag proteins for scientific research and industrial applications.
These magnetic agarose microspheres come in particle sizes ranging from 25-125 μm, together with a protein binding capacity of >25 mg/ml (100% magnetic beads) and a suspension concentration of 20% (V/V) magnetic beads. A suggested storage solution to keep the product in good quality is 20% (V/V) ethanol, with storage time of two years and a temperature range of 2~8°C. However, avoid freezing, drying, and high-speed centrifugation during storage because doing so can destroy the magnetic bead's structure and negatively affect protein binding capacity. Before using the beads, ensure full agitation to keep them in a uniform suspended state and clean them as required. When repeatedly using magnetic beads, it is recommended to purify the same protein to avoid cross-contamination, thereby avoiding magnetic beads sticking to the wall or leaking during mixing. This product requires a magnetic support device to properly function and is for research use only.
