Unlike traditional chromatography methods, it does not require flow rate control or expensive chromatography equipment. With its unique magnetic separation method, it can directly purify from bacteria, yeast, and mammalian cell lysates, producing high-purity target protein. The entire purification process can be completed in just 60 minutes and high-throughput, and large-scale processing can be easily achieved, saving both time and costs for researchers.
Furthermore, the purification process can be automated through automated instruments, facilitating even easier, faster, and more efficient purification and thus suitable for GST fusion protein purification in both scientific and industrial fields. Its matrix is composed of magnetic agarose microspheres with a particle size of 25-125 μm and a protein binding capacity of approximately 10 mg/mL (100% magnetic beads). The suspension concentration is 20% (v/v), and the storage solution is 20% (v/v) ethanol with a storage time of two years at 2-8°C without freezing.
In using these magbeads, it is important to ensure they are fully oscillated before use to maintain their uniform suspension. Care should be taken to avoid freezing, drying, and high-speed centrifugation during storage to prevent structural damage and protein binding defects. Good quality centrifuge tubes and pipettes should also be used to prevent bead loss due to sticking or leakage, and when reusing magnetic beads, it is recommended to purify the same protein to avoid contamination.
