Testing Principle：

This kit employs a double antibody sandwich ELISA technique to detect human CXCL13. A high affinity conjugate plate is pre-coated with a specific anti-human CXCL13 capture antibody. The sample to be tested, standard substance, and biotin-labeled detection antibody are sequentially added into the HRP-plate well and thoroughly mixed. The CXCL13 in the sample is allowed to incubate at room temperature for 2 hours, during which time it binds to the solid phase antibody and detection antibody. After washing to remove free and unbound ingredients, horseradish peroxidase labeled streptavidin-HRP (SA-HRP) is added. After another washing step, TMB color substrate is added and incubated in the dark at room temperature to develop color. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of CXCL13 present in the sample. Finally, the reaction is terminated by adding a termination solution, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm detection wavelength (correction wavelength 570-630 nm) using a microplate analyzer.

Background：

Growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF-15), which is also known as TGF-PL, MIC-1, PDF, PLAB, and PTGFb, belongs to the transforming growth factor-β superfamily.
