Overview

Description

Our Mammalian expression system is capable of producing Recombinant Human Transforming Growth Factor beta 1 by expressing the target gene that encodes Ala279-Ser390. The resulting content is highly similar to the original text and reflects our commitment to using advanced technology to create high-quality products. Our rigorous production process ensures that our customers receive top-notch recombinant proteins that meet their needs. Trust us to deliver reliable and effective solutions for all your recombinant protein needs.

Other names

TGF-Beta-1, also known as Transforming Growth Factor Beta-1, is a protein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes. It is associated with a Latency-Associated Peptide (LAP) called TGFB1. The acronym TGFB is frequently used to refer to both TGF-Beta-1 and its LAP. This protein is involved in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and development. TGFB1 is a key signaling molecule that modulates the activity of numerous genes, influencing various cellular functions. Its intricate network of interactions and pathways makes it a subject of extensive research in the field of molecular biology.

Format

The solution containing 50mM Glycine-HCl and 150mM NaCl was filtered through a 0.2 μm filter before being lyophilized. The pH of the solution was adjusted to 2.5.

Concentration

The SDS-PAGE analysis revealed a protein purity of more than 95%. We can confidently say that the sample is highly pure based on this result.

Endotoxin_level

Less than 0.01 EU/ug as determined by LAL test.

Activity

In a functional ELISA, the ability of the protein to bind TGFBR2 was measured, and it was found that the ED50 for this effect was 0.14ug/ml. This was observed when TGFB1 was used at a concentration of 1ug/ml and when immobilized on a solid phase. The content generated should closely mimic the original text, but with a rephrased structure to avoid plagiarism.

Reconstitution

Ensure that you always centrifuge tubes prior to opening them. Avoid mixing the contents through vortex or pipetting methods. Maintaining a concentration of at least 100 μg/ml is recommended when reconstituting the lyophilized protein. Use ddH2O to dissolve the protein. It is advised to divide the reconstituted solution into smaller portions to limit the frequency of freeze-thaw cycles.

Stability & Storage

To ensure the stability of lyophilized protein, it should be stored at temperatures lower than -20°C. However, if necessary, it can be kept at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. Once reconstituted, the protein solution can be stored in a refrigerator at 4-7°C for 2-7 days. If you need to store it for a longer period, simply divide it into smaller aliquots and keep them in a freezer below -20°C for up to 3 months. This will help to maintain the quality and efficacy of the protein over an extended period.

Target

Background

TGFβ-1, a member of the TGF-β family, is a protein that is secreted and found in abundance in bone, chondrocytes, and articular cartilage. Interestingly, it is also increased in osteoarthritis (OA). The cellular functions of TGFβ-1 are vast, including control over cell growth, differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. The precursor of TGFβ-1 is cleaved into two parts - a latency-associated peptide (LAP) and a mature TGFβ-1 peptide. Furthermore, TGFβ-1 has the ability to form heterodimers with other TGFβ family members. Unfortunately, it has been found that TGFβ-1 is frequently upregulated in tumor cells. Additionally, mutations in this gene cause Camurati-Engelmann disease, an inherited condition resulting in overgrowth of the bone.
