SynonymT-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains is also known as V-set and immunoglobulin domain-containing protein 9 or V-set and transmembrane domain-containing protein 3. It is commonly abbreviated as Tigit or VSIG9 or VSTM3. This protein is found on the surface of T-cells and plays a crucial role in regulating immune response. T-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains contains both an immunoglobulin domain and an ITIM domain, which are responsible for its binding to ligands and activating or inhibiting downstream signaling pathways. Target
BackgroundTIGIT, also known as WUCAM, Vstm3, or VSIG9, is a member of the PVR/Nectin family. It is composed of an IgV domain, a transmembrane domain, and an intracellular domain with ITIM and ITT motifs. TIGIT is especially abundant in effector and regulatory CD4+ T cells, follicle-assisted CD4+ T cells, effector CD8+ T cells, and NK cells. CD155 is a high affinity ligand of TIGIT and is highly expressed on tumor surfaces. By binding to CD155, TIGIT effectively inhibits the immune system. This product is a recombinant human TIGIT consisting of HEK293 cell-expressed protein fused with human IgG1 Fc. The product was purified and filtered, and 5% trehalose was added before freeze-drying.
