Testing Principle：

This ELISA kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich method to detect human CXCL13. The conjugate plate is pre-coated with a specific anti-human CXCL13 capture antibody with high affinity. The procedure involves the addition of the standard, the samples to be tested, and biotin-labeled detection antibody to the HRP-plate well in succession. After thorough mixing, the CXCL13 in the samples will incubate at room temperature for a period of two hours. During this incubation, the CXCL13 present will bind to the solid-phase antibody as well as the detection antibody. After a thorough washing, horseradish peroxidase labeled streptavidin-HRP (SA-HRP) will be added followed by another washing. A substrate TMB color solution will then be added and incubated in the dark at room temperature to enable color development. The intensity of the color development is correlated with the amount of CXCL13 present in the sample. A termination solution is added to end the reaction, and the absorbance value will be read at a 450 nm detection wavelength (correction wavelength 570-630 nm) using a microplate analyzer.

Background：

GM-CSF is a cytokine that regulates the growth of white blood cells, including granulocytes and monocytes. It also has activity against hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells. In patients undergoing chemotherapy, GM-CSF is used as a drug to stimulate the production of white blood cells and prevent neutropenia. Recent clinical trials are evaluating GM-CSF as a potential vaccine adjuvant in HIV-infected patients.
