Overview | |
Description | IgG antibodies in their entirety are obtained through immunoaffinity chromatography, where intact molecules are isolated from antisera. These antibodies consist of a Fc portion and two antigen binding Fab portions that are connected by disulfide bonds, making them divalent. With an average molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa, whole IgG antibodies are widely used in various immunodetection procedures due to their versatility and cost-effectiveness. The antibody has been evaluated using immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA techniques, demonstrating its reactivity towards intact chicken IgY molecules. Additionally, it exhibits reactivity towards the light chains of other chicken immunoglobulins while showing no interaction with non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. To minimize any potential cross-reactivity, the antibody has undergone thorough testing using ELISA and solid-phase adsorption against a wide range of serum proteins from various species such as bovine, goat, guinea pig, syrian hamster, horse, human, mouse, rabbit, rat, and sheep. However, it is important to note that there is a possibility of cross-reactivity with immunoglobulins derived from other species. |

Application | Flow Cytometry, Histo-/Cyto-Chemistry, and IF 1:100 - 1:800 are methods used in laboratory analyses. Histo-/Cyto-Chemistry is a technique used to identify and locate specific substances within cells or tissues using chemical reactions. Flow Cytometry, on the other hand, is a method used to analyze individual cells and their characteristics, such as size and protein expression, as they flow through a laser or light beam. Finally, IF 1:100 - 1:800 is a type of immunofluorescence used to detect and locate specific proteins or antigens within a sample. All of these techniques have different applications and are used to research different aspects of cellular biology and disease. |
