Description

EPS8L2, a member of the EPS8 protein family, is known to stimulate the guanine exchange activity of SOS1, thereby contributing to the activation of SOS1. Its involvement in membrane ruffling and actin cytoskeleton remodeling suggests its crucial role in cell motility and shape changes. EPS8L2 interacts with ABI1, forming a complex that also includes SOS1. Furthermore, EPS8L2 associates with F-actin, which further supports its involvement in actin cytoskeleton dynamics. Additionally, alternative splicing of the human EPS8L2 gene gives rise to two isoforms of the protein.
