Description

The specific protein that this gene encodes is known as T-cell receptor zeta. When combined with T-cell receptor alpha/beta and gamma/delta heterodimers, and with CD3-gamma, -delta and -epsilon, T-cell receptor-CD3 complex is formed. T-cell receptor zeta plays a critical role in linking antigen recognition to multiple intracellular signal-transduction pathways. If the antigen expression is low, it can lead to a weakened immune response. This gene has two different isoforms due to alternative splicing of transcripts. Both isoforms have distinct features and functions. These findings were reported in the RefSeq database in July 2008.

SpecificityThe endogenous levels of total CD247 can be detected using the CD247 Antibody. This antibody specifically targets CD247 protein and allows for the detection of its total amount in the sample. By using this antibody, researchers can accurately measure the levels of CD247, providing valuable information about its expression and potential implications in various biological processes.
Species ReactivityHuman;Mouse;Rat
AntigenCD247
ApplicationThe recommended dilution for Western blotting is 1:500 to 1:2000, while for immunohistochemistry it is 1:50 to 1:200, and for immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry it is 1:100 to 1:500. For ELISA (using a peptide substrate), the suggested dilution is 1:20000 to 1:40000. To summarize, the dilutions for each application may vary slightly, and it's essential to optimize the dilution for your specific experiment.
