One particular gene belonging to this family shares 96% amino acid similarity with the mouse Wnt3A protein and 84% similarity with the human WNT3 protein, both of which are other members of the WNT gene family. This gene is located in the 1q42 region of chromosome 1 and is closely associated with another family member, WNT14 gene, forming a cluster.
