Other names	The protein known as Hsh 155, also referred to as MDS and PRP10, is an important player in the pre-mRNA processing pathway. Specifically, it is a component of the pre-mRNA splicing factor SF3b 155kDa subunit. Other names for Hsh 155 include PRPF 10, SAP 155, SF3B 1, SF3b155, and Spliceosome associated protein 155. Hsh 155 is crucial for the splicing of pre-mRNA, a process that removes introns and joins exons together to form mature mRNA that can be translated into protein.
