These receptors are a type of GPCR, or G protein coupled receptor, and are also members of the Mas related G protein coupled receptor family. MRGX4 is known by several names, including Mas related G protein coupled receptor member X4 and Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X4. In addition, it is sometimes referred to as MGC129753 or MGC129754. SNSR5 and SNSR6 are also called sensory neuron specific G protein coupled receptor 5/6 and sensory neuron-specific G-protein coupled receptor 5/6. All of these receptors play an important role in sensory processing and the transmission of signals in the nervous system.
