| Other names | The AGE-binding receptor 2, also known as AGE-R2 or G19P1, is a protein involved in the binding of advanced glycation end products (AGEs). It is also referred to as Glucosidase 2 subunit beta, Glucosidase II beta subunit, or Glucosidase II subunit beta. Another name for this protein is Hepatocystin, and it is encoded by the PRKCSH gene. This protein is also known as PCLD, PLD1, or Protein kinase C substrate 60.1 kDa protein heavy chain. It has a molecular weight of 80 Kda and is a substrate of protein kinase C. The protein's primary function is to bind AGEs and remove them from the body. The protein is highly expressed in liver cells, and mutations in the PRKCSH gene have been linked to the development of a liver disease called autosomal dominant polycystic liver disease (ADPLD). This disease is characterized by the growth of multiple cysts in the liver, which may lead to abdominal pain, bloating, and other symptoms. In summary, the 80K-H protein, also referred to as Protein kinase C substrate 80K-H, is an important component of the body's AGE-binding and removal system. It is highly expressed in liver cells and mutations in the gene encoding this protein can contribute to the development of ADPLD. |

| Specificity | The endogenous levels of total GLU2B can be accurately detected using the GLU2B Antibody. The antibody specifically targets and identifies the expression of GLU2B protein. By detecting the total GLU2B, researchers can gain insights into its presence and quantity in various biological samples. This information is valuable for understanding the function and regulation of GLU2B in cellular and physiological processes. Moreover, the GLU2B Antibody provides a reliable tool for studying the role of GLU2B in disease pathogenesis and therapeutic interventions. |
| Species Reactivity | Human;Mouse |
| Antigen | GLU2B |
| Application | For Western blotting, the recommended dilution range is 1:500 to 1:1000. When performing immunofluorescence or immunocytochemistry, dilutions of 1:100 to 1:500 are recommended. For ELISA using a peptide as the antigen, dilutions of 1:20000 to 1:40000 are suggested. To summarize, for these three techniques, the appropriate dilution ranges are as follows: WB 1:500~1:1000, IF/ICC 1:100-1:500, and ELISA (peptide) 1:20000-1:40000. |

| purification | Using SulfoLink™ Coupling Resin, the purification of the antiserum was accomplished through peptide affinity chromatography. The process involved selectively isolating the desired peptides from the antiserum sample and removing any impurities to obtain a highly purified product. This method is commonly used in biochemistry and immunology research due to its high specificity, efficiency, and simplicity. Ultimately, the purified antiserum is ready for further analysis and experimentation. |

| Stability & Storage | To ensure proper storage, keep the product at -20 °C for a duration of one year. It is essential to prevent the occurrence of multiple freeze/thaw cycles. |
| Storage buffer | Store Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline with a pH of 7.4, 150mM NaCl, and 0.02% sodium azide, supplemented with 50% glycerol at a temperature of -20 °C. This storage method ensures product viability for up to 1 year from the date of receipt. |
