CHKB is encoded by the CHKB gene in humans and is also referred to as CHKB_HUMAN or Choline kinase-like (Chkl) protein. The Choline kinase beta enzyme, also called Choline/Ethanolamine Kinase (CK/EK-beta), is closely related to Ethanolamine kinase (EK) and shares similarities in their functions.
