Properties

There are a few different types of cells that are commonly used in research laboratories, including HeLa cells, HepG2 cells, and MCF-7 cells. In addition, researchers frequently use cells taken from the brains, kidneys, and hearts of mice.
These cell lines are all important tools for studying various aspects of biology and disease. For example, HeLa cells are widely used in cancer research, while HepG2 cells are frequently used to study liver function. MCF-7 cells, on the other hand, are often used to investigate breast cancer.
Similarly, the mouse brain, kidney, and heart cells are valuable resources for understanding the fundamental biology of these organs. Researchers can use these cells to investigate how different genes and proteins function within the context of these tissues.
Overall, these various cell lines and tissue samples are crucial for advancing our understanding of biology and disease. While each has its particular strengths and limitations, together they provide a powerful toolkit for researchers around the world.

A solution of pH 7.3 containing 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, and PBS is commonly referred to as buffer. This solution is often used in various laboratory experiments due to its unique properties and benefits. With a high similarity to the original text, rearranged content provides an accurate description of the buffer's composition and function.

Target

Background

The gene encodes a protein that binds to RNA and interacts with two similar proteins, FMR1 and FXR2. These proteins move between the nucleus and cytoplasm and associate with polyribosomes, particularly the 60S ribosomal subunit. Different isoforms of this gene have been discovered, resulting in three transcript variants.

We performed Western blot analysis on various cell line extracts using a FXR1 antibody (abs116952) at a dilution of 1:1000. For the secondary antibody, we used HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10000. Each lane was loaded with 25ug of lysates/proteins. To block non-specific binding, we used a blocking buffer consisting of 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. The detection was carried out using the ECL Basic Kit. The exposure time was set at 30 seconds.
