Overview | |
Description | Our Mammalian expression system allows us to produce Recombinant Human Interleukin-1 receptor-like 1. The target gene, which codes for Lys19-Phe328, is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. |
Other names | ST2 protein, also known as interleukin-1 receptor-like 1, T1, and DER4, plays a crucial role in immune regulation and inflammation. ST2 is a member of the interleukin-1 receptor family and is primarily expressed on the surface of immune cells. It acts as a decoy receptor for the pro-inflammatory cytokine, interleukin-33, and helps to dampen immune responses. Therefore, modulating the activity of ST2 may offer potential therapeutic benefits in various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Additionally, ST2 has been implicated in different pathophysiological conditions, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and sepsis, highlighting its versatility in regulating various physiological processes. Overall, ST2 is an exciting target for drug discovery and development and may serve as a promising biomarker for assessing disease severity and predicting treatment outcomes. |

Format | A solution containing 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH 7.4 was filtered through a 0.2 μm filter and then lyophilized to produce a dry, powdered form. This new form is highly similar to the original solution and retains all the same properties. |

aa_sequence | : |
Concentration | The protein sample was analyzed using SDS-PAGE, and the results showed that it had a purity level of over 95%. This means that the sample contained very little contaminants or impurities. |
Endotoxin_level | The LAL test has revealed that the level of contamination in the sample is below 0.1 ng/μg (1 IEU/μg). This information suggests that the sample is of high quality and suitable for use in various applications. It is important to note that strict quality control measures should be maintained to ensure consistently reliable results. |
Activity | The less than 1 ng/ml ED50 was determined through a cell proliferation assay utilizing CD3-activated human peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL). This information highlights the potency of the effect being evaluated. |
Reconstitution | For optimum results, it is important to follow certain guidelines when working with lyophilized proteins. Before opening the tubes, always make sure to centrifuge them to ensure the contents are evenly distributed. It is also important to avoid mixing the contents by vortexing or pipetting as this can cause denaturation or aggregation of the protein. |
Stability & Storage | Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months. |

Background | Interleukin 1 receptor-like 1 (IL1RL1) is a member of the interleukin-1 receptor family, Contains 3 Ig-like C2-type domains and 1 TIR domain. It is highly expressed in kidney, lung, placenta, stomach, skeletal muscle, colon and small intestine. IL1RL1 is a receptor for interleukin-33, its stimulation recruits MYD88, IRAK1, IRAK4, and TRAF6, followed by phosphorylation of MAPK3/ERK1 and/or MAPK1/ERK2, MAPK14, and MAPK8. IL1RL1 may possibly be involved in helper T-cell function. Soluble IL1RL1 also acts as a negative regulator of Th2 cytokine production, it directly implicated in the progression of cardiac disease. |
