Description

Description

Streptavidin is a protein derived from Streptomyces avidinii that has similar biotin-binding properties to egg-white avidin. Compared to egg-white avidin, it has better chemical properties, which is why it is sometimes used as a substitute. Peroxidase-conjugated Streptavidin is particularly useful for working with Biotin-SP-conjugated ChromPure proteins and antibodies. These conjugates are highly recommended due to their binding efficiency.

Applications
For Western blotting with ECL substrates, the recommended concentration range is 0.01 to 0.1 µg/ml. In ELISA, immunohisto/cytochemistry, and Western blotting, a concentration range of 1 to 2 µg/ml is suggested. It is important to note that these concentrations may vary depending on the specific experiment and the target protein.

Usage
For Western blotting with ECL substrates, the recommended concentration range is between 0.01 and 0.1 µg/ml. If you're using ELISA, immunohisto/cytochemistry, or Western blotting with other substrates, it's best to use a concentration between 1 and 2 µg/ml. It's important to note that the concentration required may vary depending on the specific application, so it's worth doing some optimization experiments to find the best concentration for your particular experiment. Overall, it's important to use the appropriate concentration to ensure accurate and reliable results in your experiments.

Solubility
At a concentration of 0.01M, Sodium Phosphate was combined with 0.25M NaCl and 15 mg/ml of Bovine Serum Albumin (IgG-Free, Protease-Free) with a pH value of 7.6. The resulting mixture offers a comprehensive solution for various research and laboratory applications. This composition is carefully crafted to provide the necessary elements for achieving optimal results in a wide range of experiments and analytical techniques. The protein-rich Bovine Serum Albumin contributes significantly to the stability and preservation of biological samples, while Sodium Phosphate and NaCl provide the necessary buffering and ion concentration effects. Overall, this composition is an ideal choice for a variety of applications, ranging from electrophoresis to immunoassays and other protein-related experiments.
