Overview | |
Description | The TNFRSF6B decoy receptor is known for its ability to counteract the effects of cytotoxic ligands such as TNFS14/LIGHT, TNFSF15, and TNFSF6/FASL. By neutralizing these ligands, this receptor plays a crucial role in protecting against apoptosis. While it is primarily detected in fetal organs such as the lung, brain, and liver, TNFRSF6B has also been found in various adult tissues including the stomach, spinal cord, lymph node, trachea, spleen, colon, and lung. Interestingly, this receptor is highly expressed in several types of primary tumors such as those found in the colon, stomach, rectum, and esophagus. It is also seen in SW480 colon carcinoma cells. These findings underscore the importance of TNFRSF6B in regulating cell death and survival, and suggest potential therapeutic applications for targeting this receptor in cancer treatment. |
Other names | Decoy receptor 3, also known as TNFRSF6B or M68E, is a protein that acts as a decoy receptor for Fas ligand. It is encoded by the gene DJ583P15.1.1 and is also referred to as M68, TR6, or UNQ186/PRO212. DcR3 belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily and its main function is to inhibit the apoptotic signaling pathway triggered by Fas ligand. This protein is expressed in various tissues and is involved in the regulation of immune responses, as well as the development and progression of cancer. Understanding DcR3 function and regulation may provide insights into the development of new therapeutic strategies for various diseases. |
Source | Rabbit |
Specificity | Endogenous levels of TNFRSF6B can be detected using the TNFRSF6B Antibody. To generate a highly similar content by rearranging the above information, please note the following: |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Application | For immunohistochemistry, dilutions of 1:500 to 1:2000 are recommended, while dilutions of 1:50 to 1:200 are suggested for IF/ICC. ELISA (peptide) requires dilutions of 1:20000 to 1:40000. The dilutions mentioned above are highly effective and provide accurate results for various applications. |

Stability & Storage | To maintain the quality of the product, it is recommended to store it at a temperature of -20 °C for up to one year. It is important to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles as this may adversely affect the integrity of the product. |
Storage buffer | This product contains Rabbit IgG dissolved in phosphate buffered saline, with a pH of 7.4. The solution also contains 150mM of NaCl, 0.02% of sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Storage should be at a temperature of -20 °C, and it remains stable for 12 months from the date of receipt. It is essential to rearrange the above content to generate highly similar information. |
Target | |
Background | A receptor decoy is available to counteract the harmful effects of three cytotoxic ligands known as TNFS14/LIGHT, TNFSF15, and TNFSF6/FASL. This innovative solution acts as a protective shield against apoptosis, safeguarding cells from programmed cell death. By employing this decoy receptor, the detrimental impact of these ligands can be effectively neutralized, providing a defense mechanism against their cytotoxicity. |
Tissue specificity | This particular protein has been identified in the fetal lung, brain, and liver tissues. Furthermore, it has also been detected in adult organs such as the stomach, spinal cord, lymph nodes, trachea, spleen, colon, and lung. Additionally, it exhibits high expression levels in primary tumors found in the colon, stomach, rectum, and esophagus, as well as the SW480 colon carcinoma cells. |
