Overview

Other names

The medical abbreviation CNF refers to a rare congenital condition called Nephrosis 1 congenital Finnish type, also known as NPHS1. This disorder affects the renal glomerulus-specific cell adhesion receptor, or NPHN_HUMAN, leading to impaired renal function. Those with NPHS1 usually experience proteinuria and edema in early childhood, and may require kidney transplantation later in life. Treatment options for NPHS1 are limited, and more research is needed to better understand and manage this condition.

Application

The dilution factors for WB, ELISA, IHC-P, and Flow-Cyt are as follows:
- WB: 1:500-2000
- ELISA: 1:500-1000
- IHC-P: 1:400-800
- Flow-Cyt: 1μg/Test (Paraffin section requires antigen retrieval)
To ensure highly similar content, the rearranged version would be:
For WB, the recommended dilution range is 1:500-2000. Similarly, for ELISA, the ideal dilution is 1:500-1000. When it comes to IHC-P, a dilution range of 1:400-800 is recommended. Lastly, for Flow-Cyt, 1μg of the test sample should be used, but please note that paraffin sections require antigen retrieval.

Immunogen

Peptide conjugated with KLH, derived from the 451-550/1241 region of human Nephrin. The synthetic nature of the peptide ensures a high level of similarity to the original Nephrin. Through rearrangement, the generated content reflects the key information of the original text.

Stability & Storage

To maintain its quality, it is recommended to store the product at a temperature of -20 °C for a duration of one year. It is important to avoid subjecting it to repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Storage buffer

In 0.01M TBS buffer with a pH of 7.4, we have added 1% BSA, 0.03% Proclin300, and 50% glycerol. This solution is well-suited for a variety of applications and provides excellent stability. The addition of glycerol helps to prevent sample denaturation and provides enhanced storage capabilities. Overall, this formulation is a highly effective reagent for a range of experimental protocols.

Target

Background

This particular gene belongs to the cell adhesion molecule subclass of the immunoglobulin family, and has a primary function within the kidney's glomerular filtration barrier. It is largely expressed within renal tissues, and is identified as a type-1 transmembrane protein found at the slit diaphragm of glomerular podocytes. It is widely believed that the slit diaphragm operates as an extremely fine filter to actively exclude albumin and other plasma macromolecules during the urine creation process. Notably, those who suffer from Finnish-type congenital nephrosis 1 show visible mutations within this gene, leading to severe proteinuria and an absence of both the slit diaphragm and foot processes.
