Description

The gene responsible for encoding the alpha subunit of beta-hexosaminidase is crucial for the degradation of GM2 ganglioside and other molecules with N-acetyl hexosamines. The enzyme is composed of two subunits, alpha and beta, which are coded by separate genes. Both subunits belong to family 20 of glycosyl hydrolases. When mutations occur in either subunit, it leads to an accumulation of GM2 ganglioside in neurons and the onset of neurodegenerative disorders referred to as GM2 gangliosidoses. Tay-Sachs disease (GM2-gangliosidosis type I) is the result of alpha subunit gene mutations.

SpecificityThe HEXA Antibody is specifically designed to identify and measure the levels of total HEXA protein in its natural form within a biological sample. This highly effective antibody enables researchers to accurately detect the endogenous levels of HEXA protein, providing crucial insights into its cellular presence and activity. By rearranging the original content, but keeping the same information, the following text is generated:
Detecting the endogenous levels of total HEXA protein is made possible through the utilization of the HEXA Antibody. This innovative antibody is precisely engineered to target and recognize the natural form of HEXA protein within a biological sample. By using the HEXA Antibody, researchers can reliably measure the levels of HEXA protein present, offering valuable information regarding its cellular abundance and functionality.

ApplicationThe recommended dilution for western blotting is 1:500-1:2000, while for immunohistochemistry it is 1:50-1:200. When it comes to ELISA with peptide, the suggested dilution is 1:20000-1:40000. These dilutions were determined based on extensive testing and optimization to ensure optimal results for each application. It is important to note that variations in sample preparation and experimental conditions may require adjustments to the recommended dilutions. Always perform a titration to determine the optimal dilution for your specific experimental needs.
