Another name for this protein is fSAP17, which stands for functional spliceosome associated protein 17. It is also referred to as G10 or G10 maternal transcript homolog. The protein is highly similar to the maternal G10 transcript and is involved in spliceosome assembly. In S. cerevisiae, it is encoded by the YCR063W gene.
