Stability & Storage

Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Storage buffer

Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.
To make a buffer solution, PBS can be used with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It is important to adjust the pH to 7.3 using the appropriate pH adjuster. This buffer should be stored with caution due to the presence of sodium azide and should not be ingested or inhaled. It is recommended to add a preservative such as sodium azide to increase the shelf life of the buffer solution.

Target

Background

The RAB5A gene belongs to the RAS oncogene family and encodes a protein. It is associated with diseases such as Borna disease and Venezuelan equine encephalitis. The gene has important GO annotations related to its functions, including GDP binding and GTP binding. A paralog of RAB5A is RAB20, which is also significant. By rearranging the given content, we can generate highly similar yet distinct text, conveying the same information in a different manner.

Celluar localization

The cell membrane is a crucial component of cells, acting as a protective barrier between the cell and its external environment. It is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the cell and regulating the movement of substances in and out of the cell.
Cell projections, such as microvilli or flagella, play various roles in cell function and mobility. They extend from the cell membrane and can increase the surface area of the cell, allowing for increased interaction with the surroundings.
Cytoplasm, a gel-like substance, fills the interior of cells and houses various organelles. It consists of water, ions, proteins, and other molecules that support cellular processes.
The cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane refers to the inner surface facing the cytoplasm. It interacts with various components within the cytoplasm and plays a role in cellular signaling and transport processes.
Cytoplasmic vesicles are small membranous structures that serve as storage units within the cytoplasm. They contain various molecules, such as proteins or lipids, and can transport these substances to different parts of the cell.
The membrane of an early endosome, a type of vesicle derived from the cell membrane, is responsible for sorting and processing internalized substances. It plays a crucial role in endocytosis, the cellular process of bringing external materials into the cell.
Lipid anchors are lipids attached to proteins or other molecules in the cell membrane. They serve as anchors for attaching these molecules to the cell membrane and help regulate their localization and function.
Melanosomes are specialized organelles found in melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing melanin. They are involved in the synthesis, storage, and transport of melanin, which determines skin, hair, and eye color.
Membranes are thin sheets or layers composed of lipids and proteins that surround and enclose various cellular structures. They provide a selective barrier and compartmentalize different cellular processes.
Cytosol, also known as intracellular fluid, is the liquid component of the cytoplasm. It contains dissolved ions, molecules, and enzymes necessary for cellular metabolism and serves as a medium for various cellular reactions.
Ruffles are temporary, irregular folds or protrusions of the cell membrane. They play a role in processes such as cell migration, endocytosis, and cell signaling by providing increased surface area for interactions with the external environment.

Data Examples

Using RAB5A antibody (abs115460) at a dilution of 1:1000, we conducted a western blot analysis of different cell lines. For the secondary antibody, we used HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10000. Each lane was loaded with 25ug of lysates/proteins. To block non-specific binding, we used a solution of 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. The results obtained were highly similar to the original text.
