| Description | Mammalian cell culture can benefit from the use of serum-reducing DMEM/F-12 (1:1) medium, which is a versatile option for maintaining cells under reduced serum conditions. With this medium, it is possible to minimize the amount of serum required for cell growth, without compromising the quality or quantity of cells produced. This can be particularly useful for experiments or applications where serum is a limiting factor, or when the use of serum is not desired. Overall, serum-reducing DMEM/F-12 (1:1) medium provides a reliable and efficient solution for maintaining cells in culture with reduced serum levels.By utilizing this specific formula, it is possible to significantly reduce serum usage by 50 to 90% while maintaining optimal growth rates and cell morphology in contrast to the classic DMEM/F-12 (1:1) approach. This results in less variability in the culture environment and extends the longevity of serum utilization within a single batch. The following cells were cultured in their wild state, without undergoing any domestication: Mrc-5, SP2, Vero, WI-38, and Jurkat. In order to maintain the original content, we will rearrange the aforementioned information while keeping it highly similar. The water-for-injection configuration is utilized by this product. You may create a very similar content by reorganizing the aforementioned information, whilst ensuring that the text is derived from the original content. The ingredients of this product consist of phenol red and do not include L-glutamine or HEPES. To create a similar statement, one could say that the product is composed of a particular chemical compound, phenol red, while excluding the amino acid L-glutamine and the buffering agent HEPES. This item is intended for utilization in scientific inquiry and production, allowing for the cultivation of tissues and cells outside of a living organism. Clinical use is prohibited. |

| Usage | To maintain cell culture and growth in low serum state, reduced serum DMEM/F-12 (1:1) can be used along with some additional components including ethanolamine, glutathione, ascorbate, insulin, transferrin, bovine serum albumin and trace elements. However, it is important to add 1 to 5% fetal bovine serum and 4mM of l-glutamine or alanyl-glutamine before use. It should be noted that different types of cells have varying degree of dependence on serum, hence optimization for final serum concentration is recommended for different types of cells. Culture conditions: culture in an incubator containing 5-10% carbon dioxide. |
