Overview

Description

Intact molecules of whole IgG antibodies can be isolated from antisera using immunoaffinity chromatography. These antibodies consist of an Fc portion and two antigen binding Fab portions that are interconnected by disulfide bonds, making them divalent. With an average molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa, the whole IgG form is widely used in immunodetection procedures due to its effectiveness and cost efficiency. By employing immunoaffinity chromatography, these antibodies can be purified and utilized for various applications in biomedical research and diagnostics with confidence.

The antibody displayed reactivity with intact rat IgG as determined by immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA. Additionally, it exhibited reactivity with the light chains of other rat immunoglobulins. Interestingly, no reactivity was observed against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. It is worth noting that there is a possibility of cross-reactivity with immunoglobulins derived from different animal species. By rearranging the original information, a highly similar content is formulated.

Application

The antibody dilutions for various assays are as follows:
Immunohistochemistry (IHC): The recommended dilutions range from 1:500 to 1:5,000.
Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA): The suggested dilutions range from 1:5,000 to 1:100,000.
Western Blotting (WB): The optimal dilutions range from 1:10,000 to 1:200,000.
These dilution ranges ensure optimal results for each assay by balancing the antibody concentration with the specific experimental requirements. It is important to select the appropriate dilution to achieve accurate and reliable measurements in your experiments.
