Overview | |
Description | Antisera are used to isolate intact molecules of whole IgG antibodies through immunoaffinity chromatography. These antibodies possess an Fc region and two antigen binding Fab regions that are connected by disulfide bonds, making them divalent. On average, their molecular weight is approximately 160 kDa. The whole IgG form of antibodies is highly suitable for most immunodetection procedures and is considered the most cost-effective option available. According to the results of immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA, the antibody displays reactivity with the complete mouse IgG molecule, as well as the light chains of other mouse immunoglobulins. However, it did not show any noticeable reactivity against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. It is possible that the antibody could cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species. |

Application | Flow Cytometry, Histo-/Cyto-Chemistry, and IF 1:50 - 1:200 are all important laboratory techniques used in life science research. Histo-/Cyto-Chemistry involves the use of chemical compounds to detect and visualize specific molecules within tissues or cells. Flow Cytometry is a method of analyzing cells in a fluid stream, typically used for cell counting, cell sorting, and biomarker detection. IF 1:50 - 1:200 refers to immunofluorescence, a technique used to detect and visualize antigens in cells or tissues by using fluorescently-labeled antibodies. All of these techniques are critical in understanding the molecular and cellular biology of organisms and diseases, and can lead to important discoveries in the fields of biomedicine and pharmaceuticals. |
