Overview | |
Description | Intact molecules of whole IgG antibodies are separated from antisera through immunoaffinity chromatography, resulting in a divalent structure with two antigen binding Fab portions and an Fc portion joined by disulfide bonds. These antibodies weigh approximately 160 kDa on average. Due to its cost effectiveness and suitability for various immunodetection procedures, the whole IgG form is the most commonly used. The antibody has been identified to react with complete mouse IgG molecules as determined by immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA. Furthermore, it has also been discovered to interact with the light chains of other mouse immunoglobulins. No antibodies were detected against any non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Extensive testing of the antibody utilizing ELISA and/or solid-phase adsorption methods have ensured that any cross-reaction with bovine, chicken, goat, guinea pig, Syrian hamster, horse, human, rabbit, and sheep serum proteins has been minimized. However, it is conceivable that this antibody may react with immunoglobulins from other species as well. |

Application | Flow Cytometry, Histo-/Cyto-Chemistry, IF 1:100 - 1:800 refers to a range of laboratory techniques used to analyze and study cells and their components. These techniques involve the use of specific dyes and antibodies that can bind to cellular structures or molecules of interest, allowing for their visualization and quantification. Flow cytometry, in particular, is a powerful tool that allows for the simultaneous analysis of multiple cellular properties, such as size, shape, and protein expression. Histo-/cyto-chemistry techniques involve staining tissues or cells with various chemical compounds to detect specific molecules or structures. The IF (immunofluorescence) technique uses fluorescently-labeled antibodies to detect and visualize specific antigens in cells or tissues. Overall, these techniques provide valuable insights into the composition and behavior of cells and can be applied in various fields, including medical diagnostics and research. |
