Specifically, the Akt association domain of TCL1 binds to Akt's PH domain, facilitating the formation of an oligomeric TCL-Akt complex. This complex is essential for TCL1's coactivator function, leading to Akt phosphorylation and activation. Moreover, findings from functional analysis suggest that the interaction between TCL1 and Akt promotes the translocation of Akt to the nucleus (4-6). These discoveries are further supported by the crystal structure of TCL1, which indicates a potential involvement of TCL1 in molecular transport (7).
