Overview | |
Description | We produced recombinant human PD-L1 protein aa 1-238 with a C-terminal His-DYK tag in mammalian cells. The expected molecular weight for this protein is 27.3 kDa. After purification, we found that the PD-L1 protein was located near the 34 kDa position on an SDS-PAGE gel when reduced. Our product is highly similar to the original PD-L1 protein and can be used for further study or research purposes. The purification of PD-L1 protein is carried out using specialized chromatographic methods, which are a proprietary trade secret. These techniques have been developed in-house to ensure the highest possible purity of the protein. Entrez Gene summary for PD-L1: This particular gene is responsible for encoding a ligand that functions as an immune inhibitory receptor. The gene is expressed by both hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, including T and B cells as well as various types of tumor cells. As a type I transmembrane protein, it contains both immunoglobulin V-like and C-like domains. The binding of this ligand to its receptor results in the inhibition of T-cell activation and cytokine production. In the instance of an infection or inflammation within normal tissue, this interaction is critical in maintaining immune response homeostasis to prevent autoimmunity. However, within tumor microenvironments, this same interaction allows for immune evasion and the inactivation of cytotoxic T-cells. The expression of this gene in tumor cells is usually a prognostic factor for many types of human malignancies, such as colon cancer and renal cell carcinoma. UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot: Q9NZQ7 (PD1L1_HUMAN) This particular function plays a significant role in the costimulatory signal as it is crucial for T-cell proliferation and the generation of cytokines such as IL10 and IFNG. Its interaction with IL2 is essential, while the involvement of PDCD1 is not necessary. In the case where it interacts with PDCD1, it inhibits T-cell proliferation and the production of cytokines. |

Stability & Storage | To preserve the integrity of the solution, it is recommended to store it at a temperature of -70°C. Prior to initial use, it is advisable to divide the solution into smaller aliquots and store them at the same temperature of -70°C. This precautionary measure helps prevent multiple freeze-thaw cycles. |
