Description | Antisera are utilized to isolate intact molecules of whole IgG antibodies through immunoaffinity chromatography. These antibodies consist of an Fc portion and two antigen binding Fab portions that are interconnected by disulfide bonds, granting them a divalent nature. With an average molecular weight of around 160 kDa, whole IgG antibodies are deemed ideal for a wide range of immunodetection techniques and offer a cost-effective solution. Through immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA testing, it has been observed that the antibody exhibits a reaction with the complete rabbit IgG molecule. Additionally, it shows reactivity with the light chains of various other rabbit immunoglobulins. Notably, no presence of antibody was found against serum proteins that are non-immunoglobulin in nature. To ensure minimal cross-reactions with serum proteins from species such as bovine, chicken, goat, guinea pig, Syrian hamster, horse, human, mouse, rat, and sheep, the antibody has been thoroughly tested using ELISA and/or solid-phase adsorption techniques. However, it should be noted that there is a possibility of cross-reactivity with immunoglobulins derived from other species. |

Application | Flow Cytometry, Histo-/Cyto-Chemistry, and IF 1:100 - 1:800 are all common techniques used in the field of life sciences. These methods are vital in the study of cells and their components. The use of Histo-/Cyto-Chemistry enables one to identify different molecules within cells and tissues. On the other hand, Flow Cytometry can be used to analyze cells in suspension, and it is especially useful in the study of immune cells. Finally, IF 1:100 - 1:800 is a technique used to detect proteins in cells using an antibody. All these techniques are important in various research areas, including in the medical field for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. |
