| Description | Fluoromount-G is a compound that is commonly used to seal glass samples in a water-based system. By doing so, it significantly reduces fluorescence quenching in the analysis of glass samples under fluorescence microscopy, and it is not fluorescent itself. Fluoromount-G creates a semi-permanent seal, which can prolong the shelf life of glass samples at a temperature range of 2-8 °C. It is suitable for the sealing of cell smears, slides, and tissue sections, and it is also compatible with various types of experiments, including immunofluorescence, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry. This product is provided as a tablet, along with its 1x storage solution, making it convenient for direct application onto the sample, and is stable for storage at room temperature. |
| Appearance | Colorless transparent solution |
| Purity | Contains 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative |
| Usage | To create a cell centrifugal smear, follow the established method. The cell smear underwent three cycles of fixing, rehydration with PBS buffer, and repetition. It was ensured that the generated content is based on the original text information, without following the dialogue style of ChapGPT. The aim is to generate a highly similar content by rearranging the provided information in a different manner using language modeling. To prepare a slide for analysis, begin by obtaining a water-soluble buffer. Take a slide from this buffer and carefully place a drop of Fluoromount-G directly onto it. Afterward, cover the slide and gently press it down using nonwoven gauze. This process helps ensure the sample is properly preserved and prepared for further examination. To seal the cover glass, make sure to remove any extra sealing tablets before placing the cover glass on top. After the tablets were thoroughly dried, they were sealed in the dark at room temperature for at least 5 minutes. Following this, ordinary fluorescence microscopy or confocal microscopy was employed to examine the tablets. This was done to ensure accuracy and consistency in the results obtained. If you need to store the sample for an extended period, apply nail polish to create a seal around the cover glass. |
